The premise is 50 miles on the mountain bike then 50 miles on the road bike. 12k feet of climbing.

Sounds like a lot of fun!  Unfortunately, I couldn't get in that kind of shape in such a short amt of time.  Maybe next year!

I did the race last year as a relay. It was a great way to get some competitive riding in even though I was not in the shape to do both the mtn bike and road bike portions. I highly recommend this event not only for the awesome rides (Mt. Lemmon for the road portion), but also because it is going to be the most laid back, chill race you have ever done. It is loads of fun.
