Comments: I used this race as a training run for Boston and intended to run it in 1:30:00, but the slight downhill start got me out to a quicker than anticipated pace (6:18/mile for the first 5 miles). At mile six, I realized that I needed to back it off some. I had a hammer gel at mile seven and ten, and I came through the ten mile marker at 1:04ish - from there I cruised in to the finish. After the race I felt good. What would you do differently?: Maybe stick to the planned time. Post race
Warm down: Light stretch, and a walk. About 1.5 hours after the race, I did a 45 minute workout at the gym. What limited your ability to perform faster: I held back some. Last updated: 2005-03-13 12:00 AM

Woke up at 0600 and ate a small bowl of penne and had a glass of water. I arrived at the race site at 0730 and registered. At 0740, I had a coffee and a small bowl of fruit.
