Subject: Aero Bars- Syntace Streamliner

I have been looking for some Aero bars for doing my first duathlon next month and my first tri in May.

I finally found some that I like in my price range on Ebay.

I got the Syntace Streamliner Aero Bars. They should be here early next week,so I should have time to get used to them before my first race. I think I got a pretty good deal on them ($31).

I also just added Streamliners to my bike. I love them!! I've been experimenting and have found that I'll add 2-3mph just by dropping down into them. Now I just need to condition my neck muscles (back) because when I go aero, the constant need to look up really works the neck.

that was a great deal, I just got pretty much the exact same ones for about $130. I have been out on them once and they seem great, I find the position much more relaxing than being in the drops.

You might want to have someone look at you when you are on them just to check that your position is right, the guy in the bike shop 'fitted' mine for me (that $130 had to pay for something!!) He wanted my ear lobe over my elbow, and my knees not to get closer than about 5 inches from my elbow. Sometimes they advise you to get a different length stem.
