Subject: Training and leg lifting

I am emerging into my half-marathon training soon and have been consider what changes i need to start making to my current routines to enhance my performance. Keep in mind, ill be getting into the tri season shortly after (the half is in late April).

My biggest concern is whether i should discontinue my weekly leg routine. It is usually a wide range of endurance lifts that are really run-focused and high intensity, so to speak. My running routine has a lot of variation during the 3-4 days per week of training. One day in particular is some grueling hills which i have learned are a great strength builder as it is. So should I continue my leg workouts and push through the day or two of soreness after, or save the time and energy otherwise. Also, my legs are huge as it is (I was an overweight biker from the start of things....) so i don't want mass.

What are your thoughts?
