Calling all aspiring and beginner triathletes!

FAST's Tri 101/102 clinic for beginners has been announced!

WHEN: Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

TIME:  6:30PM

LOCATION:
Running Fit, West Bloomfield 
6919 Orchard Lake Rd. 
West Bloomfield  MI, 48323

COST: $20

WHO:  Beginners, newer triathletes with little racing experience and aspriring triathletes are welcome! 

WHAT: 
All the information you need to successfully train and complete for your first Triathlon.

Provided will be handouts on beginner topics such as Training for biking and swimming, Nutrition, Clubs/Support, Equipment, Motivation, and two seperate training programs. 

The 101 program is 20-22 week plan for the aspiring triathlete with limited or no running, biking, or swimming background and is timed to conclude at the Island Lake of Novi Sprint Triathlon in August, or any other late season tri.

The 102 program is a 13 week plan based on some running, biking, and/or swimming background, and concludes in time for any late June triathlon.

If you cannot make this event, no worries!  We are coming to a city near you in the coming months.   We will be hosting tri clinics in Auburn Hills at the North Oakland YMCA in April, and at other locations through metro-Detroit and Dearborn. Details to follow!

I am looking into the YMCA in AA to hold one as well, maybe even REI.

Two more dates added!

April 15th @ 6:00PM and April 19th at 2:00PM at the North Oakland YMCA in Auburn Hills, MI

Cost is $15 at the door - $5 of which will go to the YMCA Strong Kid Campaign

PAID 2009 FAST members will receive these clinics for free.   

 

In May we will probably host a clinic in Ann Arbor, and one in Farmington.  We may be able to host one in Dearborn as well - I am still waiting on confirmation of location.
