Subject: Completed my 1st Ironman in P.E South Africa
I completed my 1st Ironman last Sunday (20th March 2005). My time was 12hr52min.
I am from a running back ground. I joined a squad in December 2003. I could not swim properly at the time but by going to swim coaching for 3 x 1 hr sessions a week got me to do a 1hr30min iron man swim. I need to concentrate more on the cycling & swimming. In my next Ironman I want to beat 12hours.

Huge congratulations on finishing your first IM in less than 13 hours!

Fantastic!
Next time out, keep us posted on your preparations. It's huge for us newbies to get to share in those big training days and to hear the stories as the big day gets close.
DO post your race report. Not many of us get to South Africa, so yours may be the first race report.
