Subject: 2nd Yr Newbie - 1st day Newbie to BT
Hey - I'm a 42 yr old female from Bloomington, IN. Last year I bought myself a trainer for my 41 birthday to do a sprint triathlon. Loved it and am now trying to do it again with the help of the BT community. I did 3 sprint races last year and am hoping to do 2 sprints at least 1 olympic. Any advice on going up in distance without hurting myself would be greatly appreciated (as would moral support - I already miss my trainer).

Welcome to BT!  I'm a total beginner so I haven't got any advice other than listen to the people here.  They are all so helpful and knowledgable.  Well, I think there are Olympic distance training plans on here, you could always just use that.

Good luck!

welcome to BT! I am trying to step up to an Oly this year.

have you checked out any of the training plans? that might give you the guidance you were used to from your trainer. They have some nice plans here on BT.

welcome to the BT club! looking at your logs you appear to have things together already. If you look at the training plans for Olympics you could probably find one that would suit your schedule and current fitness level, or at least be modified to fit it. One thing about the logs...once you start it gets addicting to log it all and see how far you have come and where you goal is taking you.

Thanks for the comments nd support. Based on feedback from one of the trainers I'm starting with a Sprint plan for my June race and then doing the "Sprint bridge to Olympic" plan for my Aug Oly. Wish me determination!

Wishing you that determination...but it sounds like you're good to go.  Great attitude!
