Pre-race routine:

Woke up approximately 1 hr before race time. Ate some cereal and sipped on G2 from start until race time. Had my mp3 player running for most of the hour before the race.
Event warmup:

Light jog for 800m, little bit of stretching.

Comments:

I pushed a little harder in the beginning and am sure I lost a bit of pace on the 3rd and 4th uphills respectively. I still can't complain. This is my best 5K time I've run in awhile and I was 45 seconds better on this course than I was two years ago.
What would you do differently?:

More anaerobic training.

Water. Awful but free turkey sandwich.

Anaerobic endurance

Event comments:

This is an excellent race to bring your kids to as there was a ton of kids activities including a fun run after the 5K was over.

Performance: Good
Course: Hilly course. After leaving the parking lot of the YMCA you run on the surrounding roads in which traffic is blocked off so you are running on asphault the whole time. The course consists of one long steady downhill and uphill, then one steeper downhill and uphill, then you return on the same route.
