Anyone want to ride Sunday afternoon, 4-10-2005?
I live north of Alpharetta but I'm flexible on location.

Can't do Sunday afternoon, will be on my way to Hilton Head for the week. But I plan on going out to the Silver Comet Trail on Sat. Morning around 8:30-9 if anyone is interested.

I rode the Comet yesterday evening.
I'd love to ride Saturday but I have to be in Savannah early am.

My office is about 400 yds off of the trail at Florence Rd.

I am sticking to the Big Creek Greenway until I a more proficient cylist and I am not riding a mountain bike.

Does the Silve Comet Trail get pretty busy?  I have no idea what it's like.

I live in Alpharetta and my first tri will be the John Tanner state park on April 30.

I've only been out on the Comet trail a few times and I usually go fairly early in the mornings. The trail hasn't been too crowded each time I go. It is definitely most crowded between the first and third trail heads, though. Once you get out beyond the first few miles, it starts emptying out.

I'd say if you go at off-peak hours and start your ride out beyond the Mavell Road trail head, your cycling ability and experience doesn't matter. And also, there are plenty of mountain bikers on the trail, so don't feel uncomfortable being on the trail on a mountain bike. The silver comet is much straigher than the Big Creek Greenway, too.

John Tanner is also my first tri, so I'll see you out there!
