The 1000SL was voted Best Beginner Road Bike by Bicycling Magazine.

Consumer Guide wrote that "the Trek 1000 is such a breath of fresh air: It's a great road bike and one of the best deals out there.”

54cm (fit me as a 5' 10" rider) – 1,100 miles
