Subject: Recovery week...why do I feel blah?Week 8 of 20 week plan, it's my first recovery week. My body feels out of whack and like I wouldn't be able to do the distances I've been doing the past few weeks. Does the mind or the body, or both, just know that it's time to take a break and won't let you do much, or is it that the shorter times/distances just not what my body is used to? I'm struggling to make it through some of the workouts this week, yet I have to force myself to pull back from training too hard (as if to overcompensate for my slower paces ). I'm trying to treat myself well to take advantage of recovery week, but my body isn't letting me. |
