Lake Mills Tri

Hi, I am 47 and finally decided to get off of the couch.  Am shooting for a triathlon after July. Just started swimming and am pretty bad at it.  However, my trainer wants me to die at Lake Mills for some reason.  If I did the swim, would anyone else be interested in doing the biking and the running?  Thanks.
