Comments: Well, this wasn't the best showing. Now that my shin splints are clearing up, my right hip flexor has been really tweaked. I'm not sure what the deal is, but I definitely didn't do enough stretching prior to the race. On top of that, I realized later that I caught the cold my Grandma had while here. I was just getting sick out on the race course with some dizziness and a headache. Plus I felt a little naseous at the finish line, which my husband told me was not uncommon. I guess a bunch of people booted near the finish. Must be the fumes coming off of the super-healthy Tijuana River. Post race
Event comments: This was a great little race. Nothing big, but for a good cause. The entry fees went toward a scholarship in the name of a Border Patrol Agent who died a couple of years ago. His wife spoke before the race; it was really touching. It was definately no frills, with under 200 people racing. But how many times am I ever going to get a race number under 50? Really didn't warm up at all, or stretch for that matter. It really hindered me in the race. But I wasn't feeling so hot anyway.
