Little League Parents!!! errr i mean Triahtlon Parents

I had the great experience of seeing the Pleasnat Prairie Jr Triahtlon today.  These kids form 7-14 were awesome.  Little neighborhood kind of bikes, to a full on aero tri bike w/zipp disc.  Everyone was ecxcited to see little Johnny and Julie doing a triathlon.  But.....like everything else, i saw several parents Counter-encouraging their kids.   Just being too pushy and demanding, i wouldn't want to ride home with that dad or mom.   the temps were warm and alot of these kids have little experience in the heat.  One girl, walking and  holding her side almsot crying (maybe 100th place) - her mom and dad came up and were yelling at her to run.  Mom even ran alongside with her arm on the girls back.  I don't recall the name - but i made the comment loudly - its ok Annie, you don't have to run, you jsut have to finish.  Dad looked back at me I smiled and waved.  Another guy was yelling at his kid in T1.  Putting his shirt and shoes on, stilll had the swim cap on his head, the dad yelled , Billy take OFF your swim cap you dumby.   WTF?!   i think he was 8 or 9.   MOST of the parents were really cool, fighting for a good spot for pictures,  yelling good things to all the kids.    lets all just have fun and do what we can with what we're given.  I hope i get the honor to see either of those bad apples at the adult race tomorrow, IF they are racing and i get the chance, i'll talk smack like they did to their kids - and tell them "your kid told me to say that"
