i won the race overall last year.

fun swim in the pool, you split the lane with someone else.

bike course is FLAT!!!! only hills are the times over the freeway. will only be slow it windy.

run course is flat and HOT through the middle of a neighborhood.

low key and very fun/well run event.

Thanks for the race report and congrats on winning it last year. I have been training fo the sprint distance Toyota Challenge race at Deer Creek at the end of September. I figured for $25 this YMCA race would be a good tune-up race for me. Sounds like it's gonna be fun.

toyota is a great race as well, a bunch of us will be there from here racing various distances.

I live in Gahanna. I went and watched the Wendy' Int at Alum Creek in June and decided I wanted to try a race later in the summer. I had a goal to just run some 5Ks this summer but saw some of these sprints and thought I should give it a shot. Hoping to do the Wendy's race next season.

Well I made it through today. Finished in 1:25:14. Had a crappy swim but a decent bike & run. I really enjoyed the race, the YMCA did a great job. I'll be back next year for sure.
