Swim
Comments: I didn't catch any drafts. What would you do differently?: I could have swum out stronger but i'm overall pleased with my swim performance. Transition 1
Comments: well, considering this is the first tri... must do T1 faster! Bike
Comments: It was difficult to read the situation and change the Sora gears on a borrowed bike. Managed to find a suitable cyclist for drafting on the return leg. I stayed with him for a good 4 miles and he was leading me through MANY other struggling cyclists! Also focused on his cadence and gear shifts. It took my mind off the slope difficulties. What would you do differently?: More training on hills. Should've done more on the Sentosa hills. Transition 2
Run
Comments: thighs got tight, calves were complaining. Had to race walk for about 1.5 miles in total. The rest of the way was slow pace running, except for the last half mile of pure grit and grimacing and some sprinting. What would you do differently?: Should've warmed up more with stretches and should've consumed more salts before the race. Post race
Warm down: hung around with my 'fan club' around the transition area. What limited your ability to perform faster: The unfamiliar terrain Event comments: not too bad... :) Last updated: 2005-05-17 12:00 AM
