Ok guys with broad shoulders / chests, what kind of areo bars are you using?  I cant seem to get comfortable and can't breathe with any aero bars.

I'm also considering the Vipers. How much speed did you pick up after switching to aero?  Thanks.

I can't really say that I picked any up. lol I'm still slow.
I put areo bars on last year when I was in better shape and the next race I did I was a little more then 1 mph faster on my average on a more hilly course.

this year I'm slower but I gained some weight over the winter and I not coming out fresh from marathon training.

The vipers are really worth the money from comfort alone.

Do you have them mounted to a batwing style base bar, or do you just use them with your road bars?

I use profile designs T2 and they are mounted with a spacing of 5 3/4" on center between the two bars. I have never had a problem with them except maybe my weight on my arms. They aren't hyper-aero but the water bottle between the bars they could only be but so close anyways.

To give you and idea I am 6' tall with 44" chest and there is about 20" between the outside of my shoulders.

I'm 5'10", 210 lbs, 46 chest and have PD Carbon Strykes on my roadie.  Best thing I've bought so far, other than the bike.  Super adjustable and comfy.
