Thanks, Dana. I completely get the "ridiculous" feeling. I weigh just shy of 260 and stuck out like a sore thumb with the excess weight, winter white and no wet suit! If I can figure out what I am doing wrong with posting the pictures, I will post them. One will be titled, can you guess who the first timer is? You will have no problem picking me out!

I am not sure. A friend of mine took them on a digital and burned a CD on his MAC laptop and I posted them from my windows laptop, so I am not totally surprised they didn't fly. I will try to post again tonight, but I don't have the CD with me now.

Of course he did! What a whimp! I bet he would have finnished at 2hr 2min instead of 2hr 1min! LOL

I wished like hell that I had been wearing one, to tell the truth. About 400 mmeters into it, I still couldn't get my breath and everytime I tried to crawl, I would lose it again - and I couldn't seem to take a deep breath because of the cold! I actually looked to shore at one point to see how much farther the first turn was than just swimming to shore. I got so angry with myself, it gave me the energy to make the turn downwind. I truly felt like I was swimming uphill.

Thanks, Ian. Oh, I think your worthy... How about not stupid? I wouldn't do it again. I like breathing! LOL I can't rember asuch a feeling of relief as when I put my feet on shore. Unfortunately, I only had about 1 min to savor it!
