Comments: Good run, but according to my Garmin the course was about .15 mile long. My official time was 21:46 (7:00/mi) but my Garmin paced me at a 6:43/mi pace overall. The 'offical' time is still a new PB for me and an happy with the results. What would you do differently?: Nothing besides train more! Would love to see a sub-20 minute 5k someday. Post race
Warm down: Started to snow at the end, so I did some minor stretching, grabbed some food, and sat in the car until the award ceremony. What limited your ability to perform faster: The cold air was tough on the lungs. This was my first time running in such cold temps and more experience doing this might help. Event comments: Well organized. Times aren't made available until weeks later on the website, which is kind of a let down. Again, the course seemed a bit long but nothing too big. Ate a banana and a bagel and drove to the event.
It was pretty cold and windy so my warm-up consisted of a short jog to the start line. Shouldve warmed up a bit more, but it was cold and I really just wanted to get started!
