Looking for a Profile Design Fast Forward Carbon Seatpost.  In the process of converting a road bike to a tri bike especially now that its already snowed here in Boulder and I expect my trainer to get its money worth.

Just reply on this thread if you have one floating around that you would be willing to part with.

Just curious - does that post have much tilt adjustment?  I've been looking but couldn't find anything.  I'm doing the same - road bike to tri bike - and might go out and get one of those posts too.  I assume this post pushes you farther forward than flipping a regular post with offset around would?

I am sure you have probably read everything I have on the seat but the profile design site claims it pushes you forward as well as effectively changing your seat tube angle to the equivalent of 78 degrees.

Sorry I missed the tilt adjustment part. I haven't actually checked one out physically but it looks like there is definitely typical tilt adjustment available but you might have to go elsewhere for a definite answer on that.

Just a note that the Thompson Set Back seatpost is another option. I put one of these on my road bike based on suggestions from others here and have been really happy with it.

To your first question:  The tilt adjustment of the FFC is indeed on par with any other seatpost.  I used to own one before it got cracked in an accident.

To your second question:  It pushes you 38mm forward of center which is more than flipped over setback seatposts typically go.

Hope this helps!

another list of seatposts that will do the job:

Corima Ellipse seatpost (carbon)
Zero flip flop (carbon)
Profile FastForward (carbon)
Thomson's layback
Nitto 66

There are probably more out there...
