Has anyone done either of these 2 races - Mooseman 70.3 in NH or Revolution3 Quasst in CT

I want to pick one for my 1st Half Distance race. Are they hilly? Any other info would help. Need to register soon or they will fill up.

No personal experience at all but I am thinking about mooseman next year.  I know if you go on you tube there are several videos that give you a good idea of each leg of the race.

Yes they are hilly but from what I read Revolution is very hilly and challenging. Read some race reports for both races here on BT and you can learn a lot.

I've done Mooseman many times doing the Oly and the HIM as relay.

Mooseman is early in the year so water can be chilly depends on Spring.

I have not done either but have heard that Rev3 is a really challenging course.  From what I hear, Mooseman is somewhat hilly but like someone else said the water can be cold.  I was looking at Mooseman until I read that, so I decided on Timberman for my first 70.3 next year.

I haven't done them (just started Tri this summer) but I have ridden the roads around the Mooseman course and I swim in the lakes up there spring-fall.

Yes the Mooseman course is pretty hilly, but the roads have been improved over the last few years.  The water will definitely be chilly (low 60's at best).

And the Timberman is where I do most of my spring and summer riding - and it's is no slouch on hills either.  At least the water is in the mid 70's by then! With 1800+ HIM'ers Timberman can be an interesting event.
