Run
Comments: This was my first attempt at going over the half marathon distance. Felt pretty good for the first 5-7 miles. Then the humidity/heat started to zap my energy. I could tell that I was slowing down. Tried to drink at every water station but realized later that I probably drank to much since I had to use the rest room at about mile 10. After mile 12 my feet really hurt from running on concrete. No give what so every. my paced showed considerable from mile 13-15. But the good news was I finish and that was my primary objective. What would you do differently?: Not drink as much Post race
Warm down: Stretched and ate a couple of bananas. Went home and took a 20 minute ice bath. What limited your ability to perform faster: Heat, humidity, too much water Event comments: Very well organized and protected run. Great Technical Tee for finishing. Just wish it wasn't hot and humid. But that's Houston. Last updated: 2009-11-09 12:00 AM
