Hi all, I'm about 8 weeks in and just found this site.  Wow!  Knowing this is all here feels like a total boost.  I'm feel like I'm pretty heavy and the over goal is to get down to 200 (245 right now, down 10).  I started by joining a Y masters swim program to loose weight and it developed from there.  I love the swimming, have always enjoyed running, and am trying to get into the bike (getting past the saddle issues have been challenging but all part of it I guess).  The plan is to run Buffulo Creak Sprint in May.   Anyway, I look forward to reading and learning.

Welcome to the site and the sport.  I did bluff creek last year and it was great race.  I'm looking forward to doing it again.  What part of Iowa do you reside in?

Welcome to BT

Good luck on your sprint race, you will love it. Don't worry the saddle issues will go away with time, if not I recommend an Adamo seat.

Go Ohio State

I'm in Des Moines.  Spend a lot of time at Walnut Creek Y.  And yes I'm running Bluff Creek not Buffalo Creek.  Haha!  What about you?

Thanks for the encouragement.  I was excited Tuesday, it was the first spin class that I didn't have saddle soreness after.

Go Huskers!

Welcome to BT and to the world of Triathlon!  It is always a great idea to acomplish a goal with another goal.  In your case, run your first Sprint Tri and lose some pounds.  Please becarefull with your legs on the running part.  Swimming and Riding will be great for your pogram, since no impact will be received.  Remember to visit the Programs area where you will find some plans, some are free and others need a memebership, that will help you in your goal.  Swim, Ride, Run and have fun!  Nelson
