arrived at 7:10; 7:30 scheduled start. waited forever for bathrooms. my bad for arriving late, but the bathroom situation was ridiculous.

standing in the bathroom line. started the race 4 minutes after the official start, so my official time will read 4 minutes slower.

Hey Jim, nice job!  You did great, yes thatone hill between 7 and 8 miles was tough.  We will do bette next year, and yes the bathroom situation was crazy.

Thanks Sean.  I think the late start actually helped my time (though , not the 'official time').  I was supposed to run with a couple guys who planned to hold an 8:30 pace for the race (they did 8:28 average), I actually caught up with them on the last mile. 

Given that I started late, I pressed it more than I would have had I gone out with them.  I was surprised to find I that I could hold around 8 min pace, hills aside, for that long.  I was feeling good, and contemplating pushing it more, but I'm glad I didn't.  That last mile seemed to take forever. 

Sore...very sore.
