PennState - 2009-11-29 8:23 AM 100th place swim = 52min.

Definitely a current or a short course.

I'd guess current, When you diving out there you don't swim at all, you just float on the current underwater and the boat follows your bubbles.

Yeah someone over on the other board posted that they changed the course to shorten the part into the current and extend the part with the current...

Looks like the athlete tracker is lagging big time today----not seeing any bike 1st splits (including the pros who are past that point according to the race coverage...).  I hope they get this going soon so we can follow the BTers.......

pro men finishing lap 2 and they still don't have lap 1 up...grrrrr. First a short or modified swim and now no updates. Hard to claim to my wife that I need to sit on the couch all day and track this if there's nothing to track.

I'm disappointed in the updates as well. I've been sitting with my laptop all morning trying to follow everyone to post updates and there have been no bike times posted yet. My kids asked me to go outside and play, so I think I'm going to step away from the laptop soon.

Edit to add:  it also now looks like they've eliminated any bike splits on the tracker---just showing a total time (both for those done with and still on the bike...)  Let's hope the run splits work!!!

Havin'Fun - 2009-11-29 3:39 PM Anyone know what kind of weather they are having in Cozumel?

From the live race coverage:

Good morning from the Cozumel Mexico. The inaugural Ford Ironman Cozumel is set to take place this morning on this paradise like Island.  Unlike the days leading up to the race, we are currently experiencing some very light winds with light scatter cloud this morning. The water is calm and the current temperature is 20C. The sun is just peaking over the horizon. The forecast is calling for temperatures to reach 25C – 27C with a chance of showers later in the day.

Also it looks like if Beke can hold on he'll be around 8:15....so sounds like a fast day!

BTW - on BT he is DRW94.  Run hard man!

Edited: Thanks Skippy...you are one step ahead of me
Any update on that forecast?  Has the rain moved in?
