Subject: RE: Anybody in West Michigan???? WOT - 2010-08-08 11:32 AM Congrats to everyone who was at Millennium yesterday. I was bib 291. Placed 81st overall and 7th in my age group (45-49m ). Mike - were you in the complete BT uni? If so, I said "BTer" as you passed me on the run and respectfully used you for my pace - i just tried to keep you within sight This really is a great event for our city. That was me, I remember hearing someone say BT-something out on the run. By that point all I wanted to do was get the run over with. I pushed it hard on the bike and I've never loved running... However I do have to say that run course was awesome. There were a couple roller hills and one big one (seemed big at the time I was running up it ) but otherwise it was beautiful to run around the lake/pond.... I agree it's a great event for the city, I plan to do it every year as a charter member. I did it two years ago and was registered last year when the weather didn't cooperate. I think as this event gets more known it will begin to be one you have to register early for or could miss. I think 800 was their stated max although 593 appears to be the total finishers. My 13 year-old did the kids' tri and had a blast too. It was cool to see all the parents/adults that obviously raced earlier hanging around watching the kids do their event. Certainly helps get the sport started with the young ones when they can share it with their parents & family. Great day! |
