Comments:

Took off fast and maintained pace throughout; ran with Jeanne throughout the entire race. Was really hot, but the race was short so no problems. Didn't stop for water at the water stop but didn't feel like I needed to.
What would you do differently?:

Next time I would start farther up to cut down on zigzagging to get around people at the start.

Warm down:

Walking, water, and hanging out in the firehose for a bit.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of training at a quicker speed. (I usually train at 8:50 - 10:00 min. miles.)

Event comments:

Great race overall but wish some things were different. Would have liked chip start rather than gun start. Also would have liked people to stand by their actual pace sign instead of taking any available spot. Would have been nicer if it was cooler too!
