Hey there Aus. What's the 10k race that you are interested in? I wouldn't mind checking that out myself....

Hi,
I am a planning on doing the enticer race on the Gold Coast in April and I am wondering if there is anyone else out there planning on doing this?
I am a 38 year old, trying to get fit and just want to take that  first step to be able to do a full tri.
Does anyone also know if there is a mentor program similar to the threads you see on this site for the American members?

Hi Fee,

I cant help yuo with the race but in general an enticer is a great place to start and the training will definatley give yuo some motivation to stick with yuor plans to get fit - way to go!

The mentor program here is open to everyone - doesnt matter where in the world you are from... the current groups are full but generally another program starts in March/April so keep and eye out and when it starts sign up for any group you are interested in.

Cheers
Cat

I assume you are talking about the Luek Harrop Memorial Tri. It is a great event that is really well supported. USM run a good show and the volunteers are awesome.

I will be heading down this year.

Hi,
I am 39 and have been trying to work my way up to entry into a tri. I am plagued by shin splints and so far between a physio, a chiro and a podiatrist I haven't been cured. However, Im dead keen and will not give up. are you in Qld?

Hi everyone, thanks for responding to me. Yes I am a Qld girl, struggling with a persistant hip flexor over use injury at the moment but my Physio and trainer think I can still make it.
My next question is as I am so short am having a hard time getting a bike that fits me without outlaying alot of money. Can you ride on a mountain bike? I don't want to buy one until after this sprint tri to see if I love it as much as I think I'm going to. Did the B2B last year and am now addicted to running (not with much style though lol).
Thanks for the heads up on mentor programs Kat. I had no idea we could join in from here.
