For the '09 it has an aluminum main triangle with carbon chainstay and carbon seatstay. The 2010's have switched to all carbon I think. It really depends on what you like to ride. I have a full carbon trek, a carbon/alu mix in a Raleigh road bike, and an '09 E-80. The trek has become my full time inside trainer bike. For me the carbon/alu mix is more comfortable on the roads. trav |

They've changed the seat post from a round aluminum post to the same carbon post that's on the E-112 and E-114. Like it's big brothers, it's a very stiff and responsive bike that handles very well. scott |
