Never ridden, only seen one at my LBS, but my general impression was that it was an awful lot of money for an aluminum bike.

Which year frame?  For the '09 it has an aluminum main triangle with carbon chainstay and carbon seatstay.  The 2010's have switched to all carbon I think.

It really depends on what you like to ride.  I have a full carbon trek, a carbon/alu mix in a Raleigh road bike, and an '09 E-80.  The trek has become my full time inside trainer bike.  For me the carbon/alu mix is more comfortable on the roads.

The 2010 is an aluminum bike. They've changed the seat post from a round aluminum post to the same carbon post that's on the E-112 and E-114.

Like it's big brothers, it's a very stiff and responsive bike that handles very well.
