Any recommendations on hotels?  We are not looking for Presidental suites, but don't want Embassy Suites either.  Neither wife and I gamble much so the casino is not high on our priority list.  We will be going in June so pool time, drinking time will encompass a large amount of free time.

The Terrible's Hotel/Casino is two blocks off the strip, on the same block as the Hard Rock, and in my limited experience is the best deal for a mid level hotel. If you book on line it's $29.99 or $39.99 a night depending on arrival days. It's not in the same class as the hotels on the strip, but it's newer Holiday Inn/ Holiday Inn Express level of quality.

I've also stayed at the MGM Grand, paid a lot more then the terrible's and got a much nicer room. It was nice for a night, but if I was going to be there for an extended time I'd go with the terribles.

The Bellagio's breakfast buffet is amazing. We went to a later breakfast there and didn't need to eat again until a late night snack.

ETA: If gambling isn't your thing, but you'd like to do a little, go early. You can easily find $5 minimum tables before lunch. In the evening and at night, $20 is going to be the minimum.
