Pre-race routine:

Time changed -- lost an hour during the night. Went to bed at 11pm - woke up at 4:30am. Ate a peanut butter sandwich and a glass of water. Rode downtown with friends and was at the race site at 6am.

I wanted to enjoy the event and finish it without any injuries. Not prepared to run 13.1 miles yet, but can run/walk that far! I carried a water bottle in my hand and stayed well hydrated along the way. Forgot hat and sunscreen -- BAD BAD BAD! My nipples were very sore afterwards!
Overall, I had a great time. This was not a race where I planned on pushing myself very hard. Life has been too stressful to train properly leading up to this event.
What would you do differently?:

Wear a hat.
Put on sunscreen!
Use some kind of chaffing cream or something in some places.

Course: Nice course starting in downtown Dallas and heading North to SMU area then back South to the Cotton Bowl. Plenty of bands and cheering along the way. Very slight incline for the first 7 miles, then slightly downhill the rest of the way.
