I know there are a few more of you out there who will be in Hawaii for the 70.3 in June.  So how are you getting your bikes there?  I have checked Tribiketransport.com but that requires me to get my bike to California first.  I have also looked at Shipbikes.com, but they are not promising any Hawaii service (yet...)   Anybody have any suggestions?

I'm not traveling there myself (this year, maybe next though!), but why not just fly it with you?

Certainly that is still an option, but I am making a family vacation out of it, and was really looking for the more hassle free door to door type options.

In that case, I'd fly it there, ship it back.  Bit of a hassle on the way out, but ship it the slowest (& cheapest) way back & you'll get home before it does.  Plus you won't have to deal with it.

Just check the shipping rates ahead of time.  Depending on your airline, it might actually cost MORE to ship it that fly with it, surprisingly.  Mine cost about $60 to ship home from San Fran (to Denver), Hawaii could be a lot more.
