Run
Comments: I guess the first mile went well, because we'd done it in 9:40 (and I'm more of a 10:40 type of girl). But, I tired pretty quick. I had zero energy and took quite a few walking breaks. Not a good run at all for me. I wasn't feeling it at all today. What would you do differently?: Eat something for breakfast and HTFU. Post race
Warm down: Stretching. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of energy/toughness. Event comments: There was a lot of confusion before the race and it seemed a bit unorganized. But the registration process was easy (onsite), t-shirts and food after were nice, and there were lots of police and volunteers that helped along the race route. Last updated: 2010-03-05 12:00 AM

Flew in from Atlanta late on Friday night, and was up by 6:30am on Saturday to get my things together and get to the race site. We registered and then took the bus to the starting line.
It was kind of funny...we were on the first bus to the starting line, and when we got there they just dropped us off and left. The 15 or so of us just stood there not knowing what to do or where to do (there was no actual marker for the start or anything that would indicate that we were in the right place). We were at an elementary school, so Mike and I messed around on the playground equipment for a bit (so much fun) and then ran around the school. After, did a bit of stretching and waited for the rest of the runners to arrive (and the race management people).
