Pre-race routine:

Oatmeal, banana & coffee. Went to pack bike in car and notice it was flat. Good thing I wasn't in a rush, change flat and off I went.

Event warmup:

Arrived at the race site at 6:00. Found a end rack that was close to the exit. It was too dark to set my things out at the transition. Went in the pool area to get body mark and to stay warm. As the start time (7am) get closer, I waited till the last minute to set out my stuff for transition. As I got back in the pool area, the line to start as very line. Race started @ 7, I didn't start till 8:20.
Swim
  • 07m 4s
  • 437 yards
  • 01m 37s / 100 yards
What would you do differently?:

Practice and more practice.
Transition 1
  • 00m
Comments:

Out of the pool to T1 feeling good. Went sockless on the bike. Shoe went on good (but I can do better). For some reason the timing company didn't get our transition time. So...my swim & bike times has my transition time on it as well.
What would you do differently?:

practice more to be more fluid and efficient.
Bike
  • 38m 47s
  • 10 miles
  • 15.47 mile/hr
Comments:

Two 5 mile loop.
What would you do differently?:

Stayed in the drops a lot more, work on being more aero and efficient. Training and more training.

Transition 2
  • 00m
Comments:

Decided to go sockless on the run (I did couple training without sock, so I felt comfortable doing it).
What would you do differently?:

get faster.
Run
  • 27m 51s
  • 3 miles
  • 09m 17s  min/mile
Comments:

good run for me. was fastest 5K i've had in a tri since I started doing them.

What would you do differently?:

i'd like to practice bike/run bricks as I had a tough time with my running form off the bike.

Post race
Warm down:

stretch. hydrate.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Really enjoyed the race. Loved the bike course. Setup always does a great job with their events. Great early season event that I'll probably do again next year.
