Run
Comments: First loop was good. Kept a nice Zone 2 pace and was happy with my run. Didn't really feel warmed up until about 2.5 miles, though. Got passed by a lot of people. What would you do differently?: Warm-up a little more. Start right at the front of the start line. Transition 1
Comments: Good. Bike
Comments: I rocked this bike leg!! I'm really proud of my split, and it was definitely the strongest part of the day. I executed the plan perfectly. What would you do differently?: Nothing, except maybe not drink as much. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Sucked!! I did not stick with the plan. I slowed way down on the second mile, and I'm not really sure why. My stomach was a bit heavy, and I was breathing very hard. I was able to pick it up for the third mile, but at that point it was too little too late. What would you do differently?: Push harder. Post race
Event comments: Being a first year event, I thought overall this was a good race. Relaxed and low-key is always nice. It will be even better next year, I'm sure. Last updated: 2010-04-25 12:00 AM
