This was my first tri ever last year. I worked nearby and me and a couple people from work decided to do it. It's a nice little race, not big. The seeded start in the pool meant slowpokes like me had about a 2.5-hour wait between when transition closed and when I started. The run and the ride are both through the nearby office park, so not very scenic. It's flat, it's well-run. I'd do it again for sure, but I'm out of town this weekend and going to galena next weekend.

I am in, should be a hoot. this was my first tryi last year and  loooking to improve my time a little bit.

Look for me arround the 15 minute swim group, I should be faster but I wanted to start late so my kids could make to the race, this is the only race every year where they can see me do the race.


the closing of tranition at 7 kind of sucks, I was planning on getting there arround 8 or 9 now I need to show up at 6.



good luck on your first tri, it will be hard but fun and goes by faster than you think.

I will be there. I have not done this race before but have heard that it's nice. I do wish they didn't close transition so early. Im a BOP swimmer and I will have a long wait, for sure. I am looking forward to it, hope the weather is decent too!

I did this a few years ago. I am thinking about doing this for training. When I did it could show up whenever! I was close to the last wave.  The first few waves were home before I touched the water. Only so many people can be in the pool.

This is a good first tri. I am going to use it for training.

Great morning for a tri!  Weather was perfect.  Other then a muddy run and sloppy transition area the course was great!
