Subject: Valve extender question
Apparently, valve extenders come in two flavors; extenders that contain a screw-in valve and extenders that are hollow tubes that screw onto the valve. In (1), the valve is opened and closed as you use it, in (2), the valve stays open.

I bought the second type of valve extender for my tufo tubular. My tufo tubulars have removable valves. The threads on the extender seem to be fine thread and the threads on the valve seem to be coarser. Are these hollow tube extenders designed to be used with removable valves or are they designed for tubes that do not have removable valves?

second type (just hollow tube) should work with any valve (removable or not.  if it's removable, you're not removing the valve).  just needs a presta valve.  You should also put some teflon tape on the threads to seal the extension tube onto the original valve.
