Subject: What should I do for my second race? Here's my dilemma. I'm signed up and training for my first tri, an OLY in September. Training is going really well, and I anticipate zero problems. At my current pace I think I could do that distance in another month if I needed to. In October is our local marathon (Long Beach, CA ) and my wife is training for that and I had thought of doing it as well. Now my dad expressed interest in he and I doing the SOMA Arizona HIM in October. They're not on the same day, but the cost of entering both is just too much, along with the fact that with a week between the two rules out doing both. Not sure what I'd rather do? I figure it would be pretty easy for me to adjust my training over the next 3 months to shoot for the half, and kind of treat the OLY as a training tool. I think getting the proper training in for the marathon might take up too much time from my swimming and running though. On the other hand it would be great to cross that marathon goal off my list. Any advice? |
