Subject: Maternity Bike Shorts?
Does anyone know where I can get maternity bike shorts? Or any suggestions on what I can wear to bike in?  I am not riding outside (it's way too hot for me), but I am getting on my trainer more often these days...I definitely need something with padding.

I'm only 12 weeks pregnant, but I'm expecting twins and my other bike shorts are already getting uncomfortable.

Should I just size up in bike shorts?  Get mens shorts?

Thanks!

You might want to try simply cutting through the elastic waistband.  This is what I did when pg with #5 for spin class.  I had a pair of bike shorts that were not my fav and cut vertically down the front of the shorts to allow my belly room.  Always wore a longer top so not an issue.  I would think even if you went a size up the elastic band would bother you sooner or later.

Sheila Moon bike shorts are really comfortable while pregnant.  The waist band is not tight at all.  Terry also has a specific maternity bike short.  Good luck with the twins!

a few other things to think about (if you have not already found what you are looking for)

bib-shorts wont have the waist band in them, that should help.

Mens shorts are not gonna solve teh problem for the most part as most cyclists are on the thin side for clothing cuts.

either teh shorts mentioned or a slightly bigger pair of bibs is probably the best way to go

in my experience the three most overpriced clothing lines we've ever purchased in our house are purses, maternity clothes, and cycling/tri gear.  now you are going to combine 2 of them?  $$$!!! lol

another idea would be to wear whatever you find most comfortable, and use one of those padded gel seat covers...
