Comments:

Used this as a training run for Cedar Point. After Boise last year, I really underestimated the HIM distance.

My time is deceptively fast for me but the lake was calm as could be. Wouldn't that be a surprise if that was Lake Erie come September. Somehow I think not, hee hee.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. I was proud of my sighting for once! I didn't veer off course at all.

I'm just slow but not really that motivated to swim faster. Is that a bad thing?

This is really an under rated event! So glad Kristen tipped me off. Howell City Park is lovely and the lake was great. Really just a giant swimming pool this morning.

Definitely worth the drive to get used to swimming a mile nonstop.
