Subject: Advice on buying used bike - 2006 Cervelo Dual
I am looking at buying the following:

2006 Cervelo Dual with 1000+ miles.
All stock with upgraded:
- fizik arione tri seat
- carbon seatpost
- Neuvation R 28 Aero 2 wheels
- Michelin Krylion tires

The buyer is asking $1200 but it has been for sale for 6+ weeks.  I may offer $1,000 and see what happens.

Questions.
What is a fair price?
Is this a good bike/components?
Any advice on where to find a better deal?
Anything I should pay attention to while checking out the bike?

Thanks in advance from a newbie.

More important question is does it fit?  Fit trumps whatever deal your looking for, take it out for a test ride and see.  Obviously other things to consider frame material carbon or alloy?  What component group is it set up with?  Have you ridden a TT bike before?  If not then you should test ride one in the aero position and see if it suits you, for some it's fine for other not so.  Ultimately test riding and getting fitted to your body is critical do not buy any bike prior to having it properly fitted to you.  Good luck!
