Comments: I should have started at the front for this race. There were a LOT of breast-strokers and I got caught behind them. It was very hard to pass them because of their kick. I got pummeled a lot and wasted energy going much slower than usual. What would you do differently?: Get to the front! Transition 1
Comments: My wetsuit was caught on my timing chip, and I was exhausted from getting kicked by breast-strokers. Bike
Comments: I think I biked really well today. I passed people constantly and was passed by only one person. The course was really crowded and there were some clueless riders going two abreast on the busy highways. One aggressive rider would not move to the right after passing and was spitting loogies. A few of those hit me and so I put pedal to metal and passed her never to see her again. What would you do differently?: Nothing! This was my one good event today! Transition 2
Comments: I had an ice cream headache feeling after the bike segment and did not feel very well during this transition. Run
Comments: This was my slowest pace in a long time. I was a little disappointed with the run. It took me a long time to get my legs back, and then I took off fast for the last half-mile. What would you do differently?: Practice bike-to-run bricks. Post race
Warm down: I had no time to think of it since I had to get to the airport for an international flight. The race staff gave me a REALLY hard time and refused to let me get my stuff to leave. Eventually they begrudgingly let me go, but not without a lot of scolding and dirty looks. Event comments: Last updated: 2010-06-14 12:00 AM

Jogged to the check-in and got my packet; jogged to transition. Swam a few strokes to get used to the water which was pretty cold.
