Comments: Need i say more. I tanked in the water. I could not get relaxed in the water and was constantly gasping for air. The water was very cold which made breathing difficult and the wetsuit felt tight around my neck. I ended up doing alot of backtroke and finished the last 150 meters freestyle. What would you do differently?: I am definitely not wearing a wetsuit anymore, don't like the feeling of being choked in the water. The real test will be in Wyckoff next June when i don't where my wetsuit as i did wear it this past summer. Lets see if it makes a difference. Transition 1
Comments: happy with the T1. had some trouble clipping in right shoe, took about 15 additional seconds. Bike
Comments: Had a good bike time. The course was lots of rolling hills with some wind gusts, since we were riding alongside the water, which made it a bit challenging. I ended up using all of my 24 gears. There were also some pretty nice downhills and i maxed out at a little over 35 mph at one point. Transition 2
Comments: got shoes on quick. yankz laces work great. Run
Comments: Felt great on the run and never got overheated. Light rain in the middle of the run which felt real nice. Had a small cramp but went away with some deep breathes and long exhales. Lots of GR Tri guys and gals. What would you do differently?: push a little after the half way point Post race
Warm down: had bottle of water, and salt bagel. yummy! Cheered on some friends and met some new friends from the tri club. took pictures, packed up and headed home. What limited your ability to perform faster: struggling on the swim wasted alot of energy. Last updated: 2010-09-14 12:00 AM

woke up at 5:30 a.m., had a small cup of coffee, 1/2 yogurt, and some water. I did a little stretching and headed out at 6:30 a.m. I listened to some Bruce during the 45 minute drive. Arrived at 7:15 and had to park about a 1/4 mile away which was tough since i had two bags of gear to carry along with my bike.
Set up trans area, chatted with some friends and just tried to stay relaxed.
