Took my time in transition one, wanted to make sure I had everything ready to go and not forget anything. This is my first triathlon, im in no hurry!
What would you do differently?:

Probably speed up a little bit.

Faster this time, considering all I had to do was drop the helmet and rack the bike. Threw the headband on and went!

No energy! fairly slow run, but it was nice talking to some of the other athletes, and it was a nice looking course. The last mile and a half on the sand killed me though! Definitely the reason behind my slow time.
What would you do differently?:

Pick a course with no sand!

Course: Interesting... Began with about a 50 yard run out to where it was actually deep enough to swim. The buoys were placed about 20 minutes before the race began this morning. Despite my fear, I started in the front of the pack and stayed there- no one passed me, and I passed a few people. Finished 4th overall, very excited about that!

Course: Spare tube fell off my bike so I had to stop and get it. Also dropped my water bottle, very clumsy bike ride! All in all it felt alright, although I got passed a lot!
