I'm no expert, but I know from personal experience that a light week or, perhaps, a little cross training to take the strain off does some good and doesn't hurt your fitness over the long term. I have a HM coming up this weekend and was "forced" into a couple of easy weeks at the end of October by some international travel and a nasty cold. Was concerned for a while when I started to ramp-up again, but I feel great now, workouts are good and I think the downtime actually did some good! |
