Comments:

Started fairly close to the start line. Decided to run mostly by feel - should have paid a bit more attention to the Garmin early. EvD was correct - my legs were great and breathing came in FAST. I was running easily at 7:10 pace and decided to ease up. Things were going well - it took me 3.7 miles to catch a 10 yo little girl - hard to believe she was running this distance much less at this pace. Half way through I was feeling great @ 7:35 pace. Too fast for the humidty and it caught up to me about mile 8. Stopped getting sub 8 pace for the rest of the race at this point. Had to fight to get the pace back under control and closer to 8/mi pace. Good for plenty of HTFU points. I decided at mile 11 that nothing was going to prevent me from knocking that 1:45 goal I set over a year ago for this distance. Instead of my speed continuing to slip, it started to get closer to 8/mi pace. I beat my only other Half Marathon time by almost 12 minutes for a PR!

Thanks for Keri, Justin and my girls coming down for the race. Thanks always to Eric for keeping me from doing stupid stuff in training and getting me to race better. Time to finish up my HIM traning to knock out my first 70.3.
What would you do differently?:

Ease up just a bit at the start. I didn't do too badly.

More run volume - cardio was not holding me back, my legs just tightened up to the point I couldn't go any faster.
Post race
Warm down:

Find a spot to sit down and drink my water. Find my wife, girls and Justin.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

100% humidity I suppose but I can't complain. I did as good as I can expect at this point in my training.

Great race and a huge PR that you've definitely earned with weather that was less than ideal! Congrats!
