Hi,

I am looking at buying my first wetsuit and wondered what people thought of the Xterra Vortex 3 (full sleeved).

Good/bad/indifferent?......quality OK?......

Also on the size, the chart says that I should choose the Large. I am 6'1-2", weigh 185-188lbs (can get as low as 180-182, but I am usually 185-188lbs). Not a large frame, waist 32-34", Chest 44" 33" inseam leg. ...would you go for L or the MLA?

Any other makes/types at the same pricepoint or just above?

I may not be much help but I bought one and have only tried it on. No swims yet . Do a search on top of page. This was discussed. Creeds is a good wet suit but check their website to get proper size..... But from what I have learned great suit for money

I bought this suit last year. Love it! Easy to swim in, no issues in the shoulders. I had questions on sizing also, I recommend calling and talking to a rep, they are very helpful and will put you in the correct size.Adam

I bought the Vortex 3 several months ago and used it for the first time in a sprint tri that I did last weekend.  I am 6'2", 178 with 40" chest & 34" waist and I have a perfect fit with a ML.  For the price, it is a well made & comfortable wetsuit.  I was also very happy with its performance in the water.  I don't think you'll be disappointed unless you are coming from a higher end, more expensive wetsuit.  Contact xterra if you have any questions.  They are a great company with excellent customer support.
