Subject: RE: 1st time with wet suit (2nd tri ever) FWIW; I would highly recommend pre-swimming some if you can. Either if the swim area is open the day before or at the very least, the morning of the race before the race starts. The first time I was in a wet suite I wasn’t use to the tightness around the neck and chest. So it felt like I could never take a full breath. That combined with the urge to swim well beyond my pace. Made for some rather anxious moments. So, just relax, breath, and remember it is impossible for you to sink in a wet suite. So…no need for panic. Just have fun. And remember to take it off in T1. |
