Hi, I'm Lyn!

I started with Beginner Triathlete in 2008, I was enthusiastic, motivated and enjoyed running/working out. I'd run several marathons and half marathons that year. I'd had surgery early in the year 2009, and what started out as 'taking it easy' quickly eased into 'laziness'...everything else became more important than working out and my stress levels went up. I'm a stress eater so my choices in foods were not healthy, leaning more toward "comfort foods" and as one would expect, I gained about 20-30lbs. After months of stress with my job and my increased "need" for comfort food, and my 'self-pity' about not having enough time to work out, my motivation was rapidly replaced by exhaustion and frustration.

I am happy to say that TODAY starts the new me (the new improved old fit me)! I have the power to CHANGE the things I don't like and it begins NOW. I've updated my list of goals, kept them realistic with not too much pressure so I stay motivated. I've updated my resume and looking forward to a new job that will allow less stress and more free time to accommodate my workout routine. And I'm admitting to all of you that I need your support to get back into my fitness goals, so I can pay it forward to motivate another newbee. Laughing So...hi group...I'm Lyn lol
