Does anyone have a good place to do open water swims in the Orlando area?  I live in Winter Springs/Oviedo area.  Lake Jessup is out since there are 5 Million gators in there!!!

How about at Blue Springs Park, unless your the first one in the water of course(fwe gators).  The water temp is 72 year round so you could wear your wetsuit, the way the springs "flow" its like one of those giant Endless Pools where you can swim for an hour and end up in the same place you started.

Blue Springs is fantastic, yet a drive from winter springs being the park is in Orange City. I go there occasionally. DeLeon Springs is also a great location.

...I should move to Volusia County. They have a lot of good spots over there.

Lake Jessup is NASTY NASTY NASTY along with the St Johns River. NAASTYYYYY!

I live right around corner from Lucky's Lake. There are always a ton of people swimming in the lake. I have swam it a few times and is good lake for some OWS practice.
